Poetry Pantry - #114

The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares

Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.

Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to a poem in your blog. The link will close Monday at 8:00 p.m. (CDT), but you can still visit the links of those who have posted them.

There 3 simple rules:

1. Don’t link to more than 1 poem per week.  If you link more than one, anything after #1 will be removed.

2. Please visit several other poems linked here when you link to yours. Please
don't just link and run, waiting for others to visit you.

3. Leave a comment after you have posted
your link.  I find that people who leave comments tend to be more participatory.  They wish to be part of the community.  A little of this goes a long way.  It feels good for all.

  7. Wow... I was blown away by Panchali's post but cannot leave a comment as the comment box does not open large enough after OpenID... I need the name/URL prompt to show. Great poem, very powerful. The ending surprised me. I would love to leave you comments!

  10. Ahhh... another site I can't leave a comment on... I feel so incomplete. Gemma, I loved the message you left right above the comment box. The photos and poem were beautiful. I especially got a kick out of the bird also called the laughing jackass!

  12. If I haven't commented on your blog, and you would wish me to, if you comment on mine I will make a visit to you. There are some people who have linked who never return visits. Some have appeared again. As they do.... Week after week. I have decided just to pass on these blogs, as my theory is if you post links you should be willing to make visits as well. Just saying! (And I greatly appreciate those of you who DO make visits to me and others. You know who you are!! Thank you.)

    1. Mary,

I will not be posting a poem at The Pantry for a few weeks.
I am going on holiday and cannot make the commitment to reciprocate with comments and visit Blogs.
I agree that there are still people who continue to post poems, but who NEVER respond. That is selfish and not in the spirit of Poets United.
Thank you Mary for keeping The Pantry, 'open for business.'
      Eileen :)

  13. A down beat poem today. Called, in typical minimalist style "slightly sad". Not a very good poem, to be sure. But I posted it because I feel like it conveys a little of a vague feeling that many have experienced. Love and peace.
