Poetry Pantry #329

Turkey which may end up as part of a Thanksgiving meal.

Greetings, Poets!  Always nice to spend Sunday and Monday with those of you who participate in the Pantry.  I will give all of you a heads up to the holidays ahead.  Poets United will be taking a two-week break.  We will have Poetry Pantry on December 18, then a two week break, and we will resume our regular schedule on January 1, 2017 with Poetry Pantry.  We all need a break sometime, don't we?

Wishing those of you who will be celebrating American Thanksgiving next Thursday a very Happy Thanksgiving.  (Thus the turkey photo.  Smiles.)

Thanks to those of you who participated in Susan's Midweek Motif this past week.  "Invisibility" was SUCH a good topic.  I think we all feel invisible sometime.  And the prompt definitely inspired some good writing.  Next week Sumana's Midweek Motif will be "Hyperbole - Stretch the Truth."  So think ahead, if you wish.

I hope you all read Rosemary's "Moonlight Musings" which is the feature which posted before the Pantry.  She features an excellent poem by Elizabeth Crawford and draws the reader into the conversation.  Look back if you haven't read it.  There is still time.

Monday Sherry will be sharing some wonderful poems from three poets on blessings and gifts, something we need to think about this time of the year.

Again, if you have photos that you think would work for the Pantry, DO let me know. Write to me at dixibear@aol.com.  I would really appreciate them.

With no delay, let's share poetry.  Link your poem below.  And visit other poets who link as members of the Poets United Community. Thanks to ALL of you who participate at our site. We appreciate EACH of you.

  10. Good morning, all. Am under the weather both literally -lots of rainstorms happening on the Wet Coast, lol - and figuratively, bad chest cold and cough. Perfect for sitting on the couch reading poetry. Yippee!

  12. I would like to note that our friend Elizabeth has issued a challenge, out of our discussion at Moonlight Musings, that we write about light in response to what is happening around us. Elizabeth will offer a daily challenge at her site, Soul's Music, starting Monday. We need light - and poetry - now like never before. I am in, for sure. Thanks, Elizabeth. You always instruct and inspire, for which I am grateful.
