In the book of poems I have of his in the introduction that among other thing it said on his death certificate he died of "..years of addiction to poetical prosings". I too am struck by thinking of how many poets (or writers of other things) seem to have mental illness. I am glad to read that his poetry did receive recognition in his lifetime. Interesting that, though he was depressed, he left us poems filled with joy. And interesting to read about the Clarian Sonnet. Thanks for your article, Rosemary. It is definitely a labor of love that you do each week for us.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07366010389846904663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4139625267522039683.post-19852750835907952872014-09-05T14:35:11.608-04:002014-09-05T14:35:11.608-04:00what a inspiring life,,... he does seem quite a ha...what a inspiring life,,... he does seem quite a handsome one...thank uyou for sharing rosemart!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16765039970274452443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4139625267522039683.post-50975775553875830542014-09-05T12:20:50.970-04:002014-09-05T12:20:50.970-04:00Rosemary, a wonderful share. So many gifted souls struggle. I am thankful they also share their gifts, as did this talented poet.
