The Poetry Pantry Is Now Open - #92

The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares

Anything goes!! All Poems, all Poets, All Week!!

Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.

Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to anything you want us to read, anything at all related to poetry or prose found on your own poetry blogs. It will remain open all week so that you can show us your writings and thoughts. You can post links weekly should you chose to do so. What poetry you put here is up to you so don't be afraid to share with us!!

There 3 simple rules:

1. Don’t link to more than 3 poems per week.

2. Please visit some of the other poems linked here when you link to yours.

3. Leave a comment after you have posted
your link.

  7. Awesome! The Poetry Pantry is open! A new week lays before us. For this weeks Poetry Pantry I have chosen a weblog item of my poetry blog.
I am participating in a Lent Haiku Journey in which I have to write an every day haiku inspired on a Biblical text. Lent is the 40 day period between (as we call it) Ash Wednesday (the last day of carnival, a catholic festival) and Easter. It's a sort of fast and a time for consideration and meditation.
I hope you enjoy the read.

    Namaste

    2. OK, I'm in for two. Both short, and a little bit quirky. :-)

Well, looks like blogspot still doesn't like wordpress, none of the blogspot sites have allowed me to comment with my wordpress account. They need to learn to play better together. I'll try posting again with just a name/url, blogspot doesn't seem to mind that.

  13. I found this passionate space this week. A moral bravery that I may not possess all that often, but comes once in a while to my timid heart. Perhaps revolutions are made of these moments and just the right conditions...

  18. Just discovered this site via the lyrical poet, and fellow Sheffielder, Eve Redwater. I also 'know' the lovely poet, Kim Nelson. What I see so far, it looks to be a vibrant community of poets and inspiring too, particularly because you permit space to classic poetry as well - I love Sonnet XVIII, by the way. Whenever I need to demonstrate iambic pentameter to anyone, I quote the first lines of this WS masterpiece, I why wouldn't I..?! :-)

Thank you for creating such a sharing environment.

  23. Hi all...I just posted a link to 3 haikus, which represent three of the first poems I have written in my life. I am not sure if any of them are traditional haikus (ie. 5-7-5, focusing on a season with a change of viewpoint, etc.). I will read through some of the your (my fellow contributors') poems.

  27. The poem I submitted has a hint of Neruda, tiny hint, but my heart for my lovely wife Judith overflowed and thus inspired the piece.
