The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares
Anything goes!! All Poems, all Poets, All Week!!
Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.
Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to anything you want us to read, anything at all related to poetry or prose found on your own poetry blogs. It will remain open all week so that you can show us your writings and thoughts. You can post links weekly should you chose to do so. What poetry you put here is up to you so don't be afraid to share with us!!
1. Don’t link to more than 3 poems per week.
2. Please visit some of the other poems linked here when you link to yours.
3. Leave a comment after you have posted
your link.
your link.
I keep returning to the human roots in the animal world and how we relate to them. So -an interest in this amazing drawing by Delacroix
BalasPadamThanks as always for hosting this! Here's my Astute Limerick.
BalasPadamAnother cut-up, something new (to me) that I'm playing with.
BalasPadamAnother week, another inspirational time
BalasPadamCan't sleep, time to read.
BalasPadamHappy Sunday to all. Just an observation: Many blogs linked up here still have the word verification enabled, and commentators think twice about leaving their thoughts if it involves such a laborious process of trying to make head or tail of the letters. This may be adjusted under your settings.
BalasPadamI agree, Kerry. Word verification accomplishes nothing except to frustrate the one trying to make a comment.
PadamThanks for the chance to post this poem ... written earlier this week.
BalasPadamHappy Sunday, PU's Peeps. :)
BalasPadamHave a good one, poet-friends.
BalasPadamMary,
BalasPadamThank you for opening the doors of The Pantry today.
My poem is written in memory of a sixteen year old boy who died forty years ago. An innocent victim of the Northern Ireland Troubles.
I came across the bouquet of rememberance, during my recent visit back to Belfast. It brought back dreadful memories....
Eileen
Thanks, Mary for hosting the Pantry. I will be back later to read, just heading out:) Nice to see so many here today - a feast of words!
BalasPadamGlad to see such a nice turnout today at Poets United. I DO hope that people who are posting their links will also visit other poets. Or if someone visits your blog, please give a courtesy visit in return!
BalasPadamThanks for the opportunity to post again. I posted a poem I wrote in February when we were just beginning to emerge out of the darkness of a Scottish winter...
BalasPadamHappy Sunday PU!
BalasPadamIt's good to see the Pantry so alive.
This week, I'm sharing a re-post of an original from my early days as a newbie blogger.
Enjoy your fellow poets & have a great week ahead everyone!
To Mary, I appreciate the notification.
Body Of A Woman
Hi Mary - Thanks along with everyone else for hosting this terrific opportunity. I will be back to read in the morning. I posted this poem - because frankly I wrote it a bit tongue in cheek for all of us teen girls of the past who mooned about moors and men .... I was surprised to see that quite a few folks actually liked it! Strange when a poem you don't think is one of your best is opined to be so by others whose opinion one respects. Ah sweet mysteries of life and the Universe and poetry :)
BalasPadamHave missed the Poetry Pantry. Look forward to reading lots of talented folks' posts.
BalasPadamThought it was time I did!
BalasPadamMary,
BalasPadamI have decided to also add two rather eccentric poems into The Pantry...
I have also removed verification setting from my Blogs, for now.I hope that this might facilitate those who wish to leave comments, without that hassle :)
Eileen
Thanks, Eileen!! It truly is so much easier for all; and word verification really is useless.
PadamHere's a 2nd chance poem for you, but it's really only 2 months old. It didn't get any feedback during NaPoWriMo, but I still am drawn to it. I'd love some feedback.
BalasPadamO! Surprise to me! I thought this site did not like word verification.
my first time linking up here
BalasPadamFigured I'd jump in and add mine!!!
BalasPadamUmmm, what's in the Pantry today?
BalasPadamAdded mine too. :)
BalasPadamHi everyone
BalasPadamUmm, catching up, I think!
