Greetings, Poets!
Oh, these Sundays do come around fast, don't they?
This week I am featuring photos shared by Gabriella of Lake Garda in northern Italy. Thanks, Gabriella, for these very nice photographs.
Be sure to visit Poets United tomorrow to see what Sherry Blue Sky has planned to share. Will it be a featured poet? A featured blog? Or a featured poem?
Glad to see there is always a great turn-out for Midweek Motif. We hope to see you this coming week for another challenging prompt by Susan Chast! (And, ha, perhaps many of you have noticed that if you look at one week's prompt Susan gives a clue about the following week's prompt as well, so you can get a head start.)
And on Friday, remember to see who Rosemary Nissen-Wade features on "I Wish I Had Written This" or "The Living Dead."
I issue an invitation here to those of you who participate in Poetry Pantry. If YOU have special photos that you would like me to feature some week, let me know what kind of photos you have. There are participants here from many different cities, many different countries. I think it is great fun to see different areas featured. I am especially interested in scenic views of your area or an area you have visited. Send inquiries first to dixibear@aol.com letting me know what you have. I am interested in city or country views - in your home area or places you have traveled.
Come back a few times on Sunday and Monday to see what's new. Visit some strangers, and they will become new friends! Making new friends and reading new poetry, what more could one want?
If you are on Facebook, look for us there as well. Join our site. It is one more way to stay in touch!
And now...here is the procedure, for those who are new here: Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to a poem in your blog. The link will close Monday at 12:00 p.m. (CDT), but you can still visit the links of those who have posted them.
Good morning all.
BalasPadamWhat lovely clean views from Switzerland, Gabriella.
Good morning, poets! Hope you all have a nice Sunday, wherever you may be.
BalasPadamHello friends a Happy Sunday to you all....beautiful photos Gabriella :)
BalasPadamWhat a beautiful set of pictures. My long weekend in kayak was cut short. So cold here... But now it's jus a week until vacations.
BalasPadamWeather is very un-summer like here. I am so ready for sun and heat and for the rain and fog to move on.
PadamBjörn, I am sorry your weekend was ruined by the cold. Cold springs is one reason I sometimes choose Italy for vacation. I know it will not be cold there in summer.
Padamit's good that you only have a week...sorry about your trip man....was wondering when i saw your post yesterday...
PadamGood morning, poets. I look forward to reading some great poetry today....nice to see you all.
BalasPadamLove the pictures from Italy, reminds me of a trip I made to Italy and Switzerland with some of my cousins when I was a teenager.
BalasPadamBeautiful photos, Gabriella. As always, thank you for sharing them with us. Happy Sunday to all. Rain is non-stop here but not quite too harsh. Smiles.
BalasPadamraining here to kelvin...

BalasPadamjust got back myself...

Good morning everyone. This is my first visit to Poetry Pantry. Poetry is my passion an I look forward to reading your posts.
BalasPadamwelcome lorna...i am not on facebook any more or i would stop in...
PadamWelcome, Lorna. I don't mix Facebook with the poetry blogosphere. I'd gladly visit if you had Blogger or Word Press, but if you are looking for good poetry to read and comment, as you indicated, you have come to the right place.
PadamWhat a nice sharing! Thanks, Gabriella and Mary! :)x
BalasPadamIt's still morning! Now that I go to a 1:30 pm meeting for worship, I sleep in on somne Sunday mornings and Mary posts my poem. (Thank you!) It's great to enter the pantry to make breakfast and find it bustling with poets who cook full dishes of words! Glad to be alive. And today is my father's 89th birthday!. He lives 5 hours a way, so I will call. I wonder if the gift that eleven of us contributed to got there in time! (I'll drive up in another 10 days or so for Mom's 80th birthday.). Have a great day, whether in balmy Italy or elsewhere.
BalasPadamwow happy birthday to your dad...and to your mom here soon too...
Padami bet he appreciates that gift...
90th! She seems 10 ears younger. Maybe that's why I make the mistake!
Padamgood day, everyone!
BalasPadamwill be back to read later.
thanks for sharing the photos, Gabriella!

PadamApologies everyone! I have been quite busy with a lot of things earlier today. I will get to your poems throughout this week. But thank you for commenting on my piece on laughter. Have a great new week!!!
