Greetings from Cold Country. I don't know how many poets are being surrounded by extreme cold right now, but perhaps that gives us more time to think about poetry as it is just too cold to wander outside?
Nice to see everyone back at Poets United after the holiday break. Many of you enjoyed / participated in Susan's first Midweek Motif prompt of the new year - Doorways. Next Wednesday Sumana will be prompting us to write Poetry About the Body.
Rosemary presented an interesting poet to us on Friday for I Wish I'd Written This: "The Boy Who Loves Blue" by Taylor Graham. Take a look back if you haven't read it.
Monday Sherry will have a fascinating update with one of our long-time poets. Be sure to come back tomorrow and see who it is! Smiles.
With no further delay, let's share poetry. Link your poem below. Stop in and leave a comment. Visit other poets who link. Stop back a few times to check if there is anyone new who posted. See you on the trail!
Thank you for another pantry - happy Sunday to all
BalasPadamBest Wishes for A Bright And Creative 2018
BalasPadammuch love...
I would do anything to be surrounded by cold weather right now, there is no concept of winter in Malaysia. It's bright and sunny here this evening, sharing my poem 'To The One Indifferent.' Happy Sunday, everyone!💞
BalasPadamHere we have a rare visit of winter... sunny bright and cold... soon I will head out for a short run
BalasPadameasterly chill in the wind but dry and bright sunshine here in London - hello and best wishes to you all for 2018 - it's nice to be back :)
BalasPadamOne more good morning wish! Great to see you all.
BalasPadamThank you for this Sunday's Poetry Pantry, Mary, which is my first! It's very cold but sunny in my part of the UK. Sadly, my daughter had to go home after spending the weekend with us but the sudden appearance of a jay in our garden has cheered me up!.
BalasPadamWe are still in the grips of the arctic cold at -24F this morning with 2 ft of snow added over the past few days....but it is warming this week to around 30ish. Hoping to finally get out of the house! Looking forward to warming up with all your wonderful poems....see you all soon! Happy Sunday!
BalasPadamNew York City is freezing, but the sun is out. It looks deceptively nice outside. Happiest Sunday, everyone.
BalasPadamCold and rainy here. A great day for poetry!
BalasPadamA very cold start to the day -8 here. I believe without the wind chill, on the + side the sun has decided to show.
BalasPadamThe weather has caught up with me with the flu. I'll put my name up on the Pantry shelf but don't know how active this aching old man can be.

I am watching the cold snap on the news. WAY too cold! Here on the West Coast it is mild, with a little rain. ZQ, hope you feel better soon. Thanks, Mary for the Pantry. I am diving in!
BalasPadamMariya, your poem is lovely. Your comments are closed? Nice to see you in the Pantry.
BalasPadamNice to be here today. Happy week to all.
BalasPadamI am only just back from holidays away, a little over 24 hours ago, so I am slightly late getting to look at other people's writings. I'll be giving myself that pleasure later today.
BalasPadamShould I add that, in Australia, we are experienmcing extreme heat?
PadamIt's getting warmer in MN, around 32 today. Happy New Year, everyone!
BalasPadamScorcher but a welcome storm tonight
