I am so glad you chose this brilliant poet and poem to bring this situation into the light of day. One cannot imagine such things going on in supposedly "enlightened" countries like Australia. But then, Canada has its First Nations survivors of residential school and its virtual apartheid system even today. So this happens everywhere, which is very disheartening. I am so glad you talked about this today. The poem is amazing.Sherry Blue Skyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10769154286598233146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4139625267522039683.post-50601566980219137852014-04-11T12:38:11.132-04:002014-04-11T12:38:11.132-04:00This is such a moving piece--thank you for bringin...This is such a moving piece--thank you for bringing it and Sara Moss to my attentionAudrey Howitt aka Divaloungerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06854425983822589062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4139625267522039683.post-27317178085348869282014-04-11T11:41:33.777-04:002014-04-11T11:41:33.777-04:00Quite moving and pertinent. And I go back and read more carefully, hearing the screams beneath the regularity. Sara Moss's brilliant. I cannot wrap myself around all that human's are capable of doing to each other, neither the amazingly selfless nor the monstrous.
