For the first time ever The Poetry Pantry is going up on a day other than Sunday. As you may notice things are little quiet around here. I am within 7 days of my wedding and it’s so very busy that you folks have been a bit neglected. After next week and a minimoon all that will change because I am sure I will need alone time. Tonight starts what the guys (my friends I think?) call “Man Weekend”. I am slightly excited and afraid all at the same time. Anyone seen the movie the hangover? I hope Mike Tyson doesn't punch me. I was honestly thinking I could still manage posting the pantry on Sunday and then thought to myself “Who am I kidding?” Most likely I will be writhing in pain and severely dehydrated when I usually put that post up. So to ensure you get you regular dose of the Pantry I am putting it up today. See everyone soon and have a great weekend!!
The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares
Anything goes!! All Poems, all Poets, All Week!!
Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.
Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to anything you want us to read, anything at all related to poetry or prose found on your own poetry blogs. It will remain open all week so that you can show us your writings and thoughts. You can post links weekly should you chose to do so. What poetry you put here is up to you so don't be afraid to share with us!!
There 3 simple rules:
1. Don’t link to more than 3 poems per week.
2. Please visit some of the other poems linked here when you link to yours.
3. Leave a comment after you have posted
your link.
Wrote this poem eyes closed, in the dark, listening to some drum and bass....un-sober.

Have a total blast, Robb, and dont worry about us. We'll see you when you surface. likely looking a bit wild-eyed:) Can you post some wedding photos on your blog? Cant wait to read your poems about it all. Are you writing your own vows? (Hint: Amber would likely really dig that. We women are such romantics!) Hope it is all wonderful, Man Weekend, family visiting and the special day itself.

a limerick that provides some handy marital advice.
Wrote this poem at the end of a (lovely) relationship which I struggled for a while to let go of, but after writing this it all made sense and we moved on.
