The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares
Anything goes!! All Poems, all Poets, All Week!!
Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.
Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to anything you want us to read, anything at all related to poetry or prose found on your own poetry blogs. It will remain open all week so that you can show us your writings and thoughts. You can post links weekly should you chose to do so. What poetry you put here is up to you so don't be afraid to share with us!!
There 3 simple rules:
1. Don’t link to more than 3 poems per week.
2. Please visit some of the other poems linked here when you link to yours.
3. Leave a comment after you have posted
your link.
your link.
Well, aren't you guys making me feel special this afternoon. Thanks again for a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't write a lot of fantasy (maybe real?) poetry, but the first line got stuck in my head and I had to address it. : )
ReplyDeleteThanks for being here. I'll go visit some poems, now. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, #3 and 4 are BOTH me! Mary. On #4 I was too hasty and forgot the Y. Hope you all have a good Memorial Day! Write on.
ReplyDeleteA new one. May be revising.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday to All.
ReplyDeleteMy poem for the pantry is one I write last week. It is rather long, so I thank in advance all those who take the time to read it.
ReplyDeleteTo all those celebrating Memorial Day, I wish you a wonderful holiday.
I shared 3 new poems that I posted on my Image & Verse blog this week. The 1st about memories, the 2nd about sorrow, the 3rd about singularity. These have gone through a couple edits, with likely more to come -- but I haven't started new works in a week for quite some time, so my muse is finally being kind...
ReplyDeleteI love that this is here. Thanks for the opportunity to share and read other fantastic poetry.
ReplyDeletehappy birthday to me! hah!

Congrats Eileen ... happy birthday to another ... and so a new poetic week begins!
ReplyDeleteMine is an unusual poem for me! It is brushed with some colours from history!
ReplyDeleteWrote this the other day to a photo, by one of my favourite photographers. Happy Memorial day to those who celebrate, and happy Sunday to all.

ReplyDeleteNewbie here! Looking forward to getting involved with a wonderful community of poets!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for visiting my blog. I am so thrilled to get comments and messages from people in this community. One thing I like very much about this community is its diversity of people from all over the world. I do love that about the Internet. Many very gifted writers here and it is always a pleasure to come browse. Happy week!
ReplyDeleteHello everyone! This is my first time entering at Poets United. I came here from Amy's blog (sharplittlepencil on wordpress).
ReplyDeleteMy poem is called Wanderlust. Let me know what you think!
hey,
ReplyDeleteI'd enter with my fist entry. Hope all would like it. I would love to hear what you all think. It's a pleasure to be a part of Poets United.
Cheers!!!
Just one, "Dream of a Superman", that I posted late to a wordling whirl of Sundays that I'd like more people to read. I'm now off for the summer, except for cleaning my classroom, so I'll have lots of time to read poems. Looking forward to it.

better late than never?
ReplyDeletePA prompt last Wednesday was " let's get serious" ..one of poems I wrote was imagining a group of children attacking a "serious" child as that child is entranced in the world of the book he is reading.
ReplyDeleteThe poem title is a play on the prompt....titled..."Let's GET SERIOUS!"
Poem 2 suggested here was inspired by prompt " let's get serious" over at Poetic and is titled "GETTING SERIOUS" presenting a more cosmic view.
ReplyDeleteMine was written last week and is about a fav flower/tree. Hope you enjoy it.
