Poppy's Photographs from Greece -- Paths



Tree trunks sprouting from underneath a paved road, 
climb up sienna facades.

Grassy paths and steps amid ancient Roman tombs,
above the village of Agios Thomas.


A path leading to the Monastery of Panagia Pantanassa.

Follow the pretty brick road; most lead to cafes and taverns.


  A gravel road leading into the olive groves.

A path of clover, under a connected canopy of olive branches.


Greetings, Poets! We have finally entered spring, and I must say I am not unhappy to leave the season of winter behind.  Spring is always such an optimistic season, I think, as things begin (slowly at first) to green up again.

Today we have Poppy to thank for the wonderful pictures from Greece.  She chose the theme of "paths," so all of her photos involve a path!  Lovely, aren't they? Thanks, Poppy.

    We have had a breath of winter here.. But graced with some sun it's still beautiful. I love the pictures that calls my wanderlust.

    I want to walk on paths in Greece! Soon. I have been engaged with working on a project with a friend and rarely here, Mary, but I am taking this morning off to be here with you and my coffee. I will go to Meeting for Worship this afternoon. My poem reflects the times as I haven't written anything new this week.

    Good Sunday morning from a very cold New york State where spring has not really arrived....cold barely 15 degrees but sunny and the sparrows are singing. Poppy what fabulous paths leading to so many adventures and delights in greece. A country that I would love to explore. Thanks for sharing these.

    Oh my, I am so old I forgot to check in this morning, LOL........am having some lovely reads this morning. Thank you, fellow poets. I have Diana Krall on in the background and the sun is trying to peek thru the fog, the same is going on in my brain. Happy Sunday! Poppy, your photos gladden my heart. Each one takes me on a lovely ramble through the sunny pathways of Greece. A gift just to gaze upon them. Kids, Poppy is our featured poet/photographer tomorrow so I hope you all will come enjoy her wonderful life - and love - story!

      Sherry, you are hilarious! The best route out of that fogginess, for me, is via Norah Jones' light; the sweet songstress can sing anyone out of the dark!
