Photos Taken Along the Bay Trail by Bekkie Sanchez ![]() |
Rarely is the San Francisco Bay so calm. Look at that sky reflected! |

San Francisco through the trees up on Coyote Point. San Francisco is down the peninsula from San Mateo which is why it looks like it’s across the bay. |

Here you can see the different patterns the water makes in the sloughs when the bay tides go in and out. Seals often explore these sloughs when there’s enough water. |

On the Foster City side of the San Mateo bridge, there are white shell beaches to walk along. As you can see, this is low tide when the mud looks like it goes all the way out to the bridge. |

During the partial eclipse of the moon over the sun I got an image of it (below over the water) when my camera lense did this. Follow the line in the clouds down, it looks like a tiny slivered moon. |
Happy Weekend, Poetry Friends. This week we have more of Bekkie Sanchez's beautiful photographs (and explanations). I do hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Speaking of Bekkie, come back on Monday to see Sherry's interview / conversation with Bekkie. It is a great read!
We had another good week at Poets United. On Monday Sherry shared an interesting interview with Sarah Russell. On Wednesday Sumana prompted us to write poetry on "Rising Up." On Friday Rosemary featured the poem Windows by poet Claine Keily in her I Wish I'd Written This series.
Oh - and on Wednesday, Susan's Midweek Motif prompt is "Animals." I think this is one we all can relate to.
Now, with no further delay, let's share poetry. Link your poem below. Say hello in comments. Visit the poems of others who link. See you on the trail. Enjoy your week!
Good morning all.
