BOTANICAL GARDENS OF GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN
BY ELIZABETH CRAWFORD
BY ELIZABETH CRAWFORD
Today we have more photos taken by Elizabeth Crawford. This week's photos were taken at the Botanical Gardens in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Thanks, Elizabeth for the beautiful pictures.
Please stop back tomorrow, as Sherry Blue Sky is featuring the poem of one of the very active men here at the Pantry and at Midweek Motif. You've seen him around. No more clues! Smiles.
Stop back on Wednesday for Midweek Motif. We have only a few more weeks before Susan will be back prompting. (So glad she is back posting!) This week Rosemary is prompting, and I am very excited about that! Her prompt is "Let Your Song Be Delicate - or Not. " Take your pick - do some 'delicate' writing, or do its opposite: harsh! We really look forward to seeing you there.
If you haven't read Rosemary's I Wish I'd Written This, please take a look. She features the poet Salena Godden & her wonderful poem "Funny Thing Being a Writer." I think this is a poem many of us can identify with. And, of course, she includes a lot of interesting information about the poet as well.
If you have Facebook, do think about following Poets United on Facebook. That way you are informed of each new feature.
Do have a good day & a poetic week! Thank you for making Poets United such a successful site!
Good morning. I must say that a botanical garden is one of the best places to be. When stranded in alone in a foreign town, I seek out the botanical garden...
ReplyDeleteThank you for opening the pantry up once again - beautiful photographs - the arch is our favourite it looks like you could close your eyes and be transported to wherever you dream
ReplyDeleteI love the photos. I'm excited that I wrote a new poem today! I will be back later to visit your poems.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you, Susan. Your poem on 'patience' was written by a very patient woman indeed. Smiles.
DeleteI wish. I'm trying. Meditation helps.
DeleteThank you for the pictures Elizabeth ~ Happy to see you around Susan ~
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Mary and wishing you all Happy Sunday ~
Good morning everyone. Always wonderful to wake up and find so many poems to visit.
ReplyDeleteIt is the first day of the football season. Looking forward to the Packer - Bear game later today. Anyone else excited about the start of another football season?
Elizabeth your photos are lovely....so glad you shared them. We are having a dramatic shift in our weather as it is very cool, rainy and gray. Seems autumn is visiting....looking forward to visiting everyone with a cup of tea and reading your lovely poems today. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteMary to answer your question....my husband is excited. He's a Giants fan!!

All the pictures are wonderful, but I really love the last one. One of these days, I'll plant some succulents in that style *fingers crossed*.
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited about the upcoming Wednesday Motif.
Doing a happy dance to celebrate Susan's recovery and return... and happy Sunday, everyone. ♥
What a moving post you shared today, Magaly!
DeleteThose succulents grow like CRAZY, one is constantly moving them into bigger pots......maybe give them their own little patch. Smiles.
DeleteThanks for the happy dance. I'm looking forward to that motif as well!
Delete@Mary, thank you for realizing just how important that post is to me.
Delete@Sherry, they might take over my living room! Or the terrace... no yard. :-(
@Susan, you (and your back) are always in my thoughts. ♥
good morning everyone. hope everybody has had a fulfilling and days of just enough.
ReplyDeletein my sumitted piece i'm speaking to those that have always been the strong one's for everybody else. those that have tried to be there for those who've needed an ear or shoulder. yet, sometimes the strong feel as if they're mis understood because they too cry and have heartfelt pain
Your poem had an important message, Marcoantonio!
DeleteI resonate with this, Marco - I have always been the strong one for everyone else, but since Pup died, I have shed an entire lifetime of tears. Even the strong have limits, LOL. LOVE your beautiful poem!
DeleteTo a rainy Sunday morning here, these beautiful sunny warm botanical garden flowers from the poets pantry are very welcome
ReplyDeleteA lovely day to every one
