Poetry Pantry #248
Greetings, Poets!
I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to a feast of poetry today. I know many poets are involved in NaPoWriMo. I am one who is not. Smiles. Too much stress to expect that of myself. If you are, perhaps you will share one of these poems with the Pantry. If you are not, we will definitely enjoy any other poem (old or new) that you wish to share with us.
I think by now most of you know what Poets United has to offer. Besides the Pantry on Sunday and Monday, we also have Susan Chast's Midweek Motif on Wednesday of each week. It is pretty cool how she always gives us a hint the week before of the following week's prompt. Sherry Blue Sky and Rosemary Nissen-Wade also have their Monday and Friday features. Just keep checking back, and you are bound to discover something interesting here.
If you would like photos from your area (or from a vacation you have taken) to be featured in the pantry, do let me know. I included a few of my photos taken on a walk this week. Spring is finally arriving in this area.
So, please link one poem below. Also stop in and say hello to us in the comments. And, please visit other poets who link, as we all enjoy comments. Have a nice Sunday / Monday!
Hello - so much poetry this month.. A lot to read. I'm not writing a poem per day in April.., but many other months. I'm currently exploring sonnets deeper so this is what I offer here today.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you, Bjorn! I do enjoy reading your sonnets. Smiles.
DeleteHello friends, a very Happy Sunday to you all :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning (here) to YOU, Sumana.
Deleteah beautiful pics... i have a whole cherry tree field just behind the house and it takes my breath away each year when they start blossoming...
ReplyDeletehappy sunday everyone - and thanks for tagging me in mary
Must be beautiful, Claudia. Nothing too much beautifully blossoming just yet...the trees on my walk were the beginning, and after the long winter they did take my breath away.
DeleteHello to everyone! Lovely photos of spring, it's so strange but we had snow yesterday and it's still cold outside.
ReplyDeleteIt is strange this time of year, isn't it? But we too some years in the past have experienced snow in April.
DeleteHi! I'm sharing something I wrote 2 days ago for NaPoWriMo. Hope everyone's having a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you, Ravenblack.
DeleteWhat beautiful pictures to gaze upon today...a sunny Sunday and warm. Looking forward to reading poetry at some point today, but the garden is beckoning on this fine day. Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteOh, definitely enjoy that garden first, Donna!
DeleteHello Everyone,
ReplyDeleteMary, how lovely to see spring sprouting in your neck of the woods! I'm certain you are enjoying all the sweet signs, each one, either subtle or strong, as it arrives on the scene. Thanks for the beautiful pics!
Happy Sunday, and a wonderful week ahead,
Poppy
And, nice to see you,Poppy. Yes, I am ecstatic that spring is finally here....
DeleteLove the photos, Mary...good to see the affects of spring...feels warm and wonderful,
ReplyDeleteElizabeth
Yes, we have waited a long time, haven't we?
DeleteSunday Greetings, Mary. I'm one of the stressed ones... all right, that's a bit of a lie. I am doing a poem a month, and it's a tad overwhelming but it hasn't stressed me out yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it to stay that way until the 30th of April. And yes, I'm looking forward to my regular schedule. I'm certainly enjoying the poetry rush, but I do miss being able to enjoy one piece for a couple of days. ♥
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Magaly. Smiles. Sounds like you are accomplishing what you set out to.
DeleteYou may be aware of the xenophobic attacks which occurred in South Africa this week. Given the terror and bloodshed the world over, it may come as just another sign of the times in which we live, where conflict rages with little attempt at reconciliation. However, it would be remiss of me not to address the issue and share my thoughts. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity.
ReplyDeleteKerry
My heart sinks....division and hatred go on and on.........I look forward to your poem, Kerry.
DeleteWhat a tragedy, Kerry.
DeleteGood morning and may sprong creep into the pantry with it's scent and its presence within our hearts and in our words.
ReplyDeleteZQ
Oops! not "sprong" but SPRING ! Has anybody seen where I put my glasses...
DeleteI will second your comment, ZQ!
DeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to have made my visit to The Pantry, as little earlier this week. Thank you for sharing your lovely photos of spring hopes in Wisconsin. Here in Cheshire, UK, we had hopes, but dashed by a cold weather arrival over the weekend. However, spring is in evidence!
Happy New Week,
Eileen
Ah, this time of year is so unpredictable, isn't it?
DeleteHello! Thanks, Mary for nice photos...you know places for walk....we're moving in backorder...the snow ..next ~ Still my hopes for sunny weather while moving slowly thru the wintry precipitations...
ReplyDeleteTime to banish the snow!! Hope it moves through your area soon.
DeleteSpring is a fine inspiration - my fingers have been busy planting and taking pictures.
ReplyDeleteHope you are all enjoying a sunshine filled day!
Wonderful spring activities, Leslie. Enjoy your day too.
DeleteGood morning, friends. I am looking forward to a prowl through the Pantry. Going to make a LARGE cup of tea and jump in! I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday and that you get to cackle at least three times. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your tea, Sherry. And cackle 100 times to spread the joy. Smiles.
DeleteHello everyone, hope you are all doing fine. I am a bit busy with work but I am still doing fine. Will be reading all the poems posted later. Reading the poems here is becoming my Monday routine inside the train.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead everyone and enjoy spring :-)
Always good to see you, Totomai, despite your busy work schedule.
