Pantry of Poetry and Prose #9: Goodbye 2019

Greetings, word lovers. I hope this week finds you healthy, happy, and looking forward to the New Year. In my home, we are enjoying our Winter Solstice traditions—cooking together, exchanging gifts, watching Star Wars *cough*, and wishing everyone the best 2020.

2019 has been a year of changes and endings, as Rosemary shows us in “Wild Fridays: Deaths and Entrances”. If you’ve yet to read it, do go back and take a look-see. The post doesn’t only reflect on this year’s happenings, but it also offers glimpses of what’s to come (i.e. we are planning to do some housekeeping, mostly de-cluttering, organizing, labeling… You will see!).

Did you participate in “Poets United Midweek Motif ~ Year’s End”, or was I the only one who missed it? *sigh* Well, if you share my slightly delinquent status, today is a great day to revisit Susan’s topic.

So, dear poets, storytellers, worshipers of words... our pantry is open for poetry and prose (stories, articles, essays… in 369 words or fewer). Share an old piece or a new one, your choice (our delight).

Note: When we return, on January 5th, this blog will look different (colors, layout, fonts and such…). Our love for words will remain unchanged.

Nature crafts the best art.

Please, add the direct link to your entry to Mr. Linky. Visit other lovers of words. Enjoy the Holiday Season (and every day after that).

    1. I sympathize, Gillena. I've been eating pureed or liquid food since the 11th and still have some time to go. The post oral surgery struggle is real.

May this Holiday Season bring you exactly what you need!

  2. Thanks to all here at Poets United. I've received some positive feedback to my meager scribblings and sparked more ideas along the way.

May we all look forward to the new year. I wish blessings to everyone.

  3. Not linking this morning as the Blogger Glitch is still on this page, plus I am too dizzy. But I will visit everyone and read your poems. Looking forward to 2020 and hopefully better global and environmental politics. We live in hope.

    1. Sigh. I haven’t had any problems, but I use Firefox. I tried Chrome, after a conversation with Rommy, and then the problems came. I returned to FireFox and all was well again.

I do hope things get better after we update our template, and remove the clutter. 🤞🏾

    2. I'm also on Firefox--no problems.

    3. Thank you, Magaly! I got rid of Firefox some time ago as it seemed counterproductive to have three browsers taking up room. But both Chrome and Safari have been glitchy with the PU site of late, so here is Firefox restored – and so far working perfectly.

    4. It's really good to know that we have a different option. At least until the other browsers solve their issues.

  10. Having trouble accessing site. Despite that click on 'Ahu's baby' on list on right and that will take you there.

    1. Hi, Robin. Are you having trouble accessing the site? Or, does this comment mean that if people can't get to your blog through Mr. Linky, they can go ahead and click on your contribution's title on the sidebar?

    2. I think he means that the link doesn't get us there, but if we look right while we're at the wrong place, we'll see 'Ahu's baby' near the top and can click on that. And well worth doing, lovely little story.

    3. Ah, I see. Thank you, Rosemary.

Robin, I updated your link. It wasn't working because the URL included an apostrophe. I removed it. So the link is working now.

  11. A wonderful year-end pantry, Magaly. Have fun redecorating! I am looking forward to more poetry. And to all poets: May your Christmas be warm and happy, and your prospects for the new year be bright.

  12. !!! Love You, Magaly !!!
    !!! HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
I won't be posting here as I'm on Sabbatical and my keeper is keeping me limited to sharing Internet time and is also keeping me busy. I have sneaked a post now and then but I should be free after January 12 or 13 or so. So far my other blog I posted every Friday, now and for the whole year.
    Cheers!!!
