The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares
Anything goes!! All Poems, all Poets, All Week!!
Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.
Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to anything you want us to read, anything at all related to poetry or prose found on your own poetry blogs. It will remain open all week so that you can show us your writings and thoughts. You can post links weekly should you chose to do so. What poetry you put here is up to you so don't be afraid to share with us!!
1. Don’t link to more than 3 poems per week.
2. Please visit some of the other poems linked here when you link to yours.
3. Leave a comment after you have posted
your link.
your link.
Wow, don't think I've ever been so close to the top before!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry. Love your work.
ReplyDeleteThis week I'm sharing the poem that is probably closest to my heart. Back in September some dear friends of mine lost their seven month old baby girl, a devastating loss that happened with no warning at all. I wrote this the night of her funeral, definitely the most heart-wrenching thing I have ever written. She would have celebrated her first birthday this week.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week everyone! And don't forget to let the people you care about know how you feel, life is much too fleeting and fragile, a lesson I'm being reminded of this week.
Two this time.
ReplyDeletehave a great week everyone!
ReplyDeleteI'm posting rather late, but glad to be here.
ReplyDeleteThanks again to Sherry, Poets United and all who pass through, for all the effort put in to this site and what it does. It was a great week. Todays link is a tired man's way to initiate a cheap smile. Night all...
ReplyDeleteHello.
ReplyDeletePhew! Am I glad to see the Pantry open. My mind was going to dark places thinking it was no more. With that, I'm sharing A Cheerful Glance
Thanks for everything PU.
Have a great week ahead everyone!
Hope everything's okay!
ReplyDeleteThanks as always for hosting this! Here's my Limerick Degree.
happy monday, all...I am posting a new piece in an old series
ReplyDeleteGreetings all. First time I've posted on this site. Sometimes it is the words which paint the picture. http://accidentalwriter-passionatemusings.blogspot.com.au/2011/10/words-i-paint.html
ReplyDeleteAnd I am so IT challenged that I have made a decent old mess of this inaugural offering..so...but that's me.
DeleteA whimsical poem about my daughter's hamster...
ReplyDeleteI am participating in the Haiku Challenge. On february 19 the theme was seasons and I had to use Kigo (classical Japanese season words. I was excited and inspired. Come on and leave your comments.
ReplyDeleteA couple of limericks, and a sonnet to make you smile! :-)
ReplyDeleteHello Poetry Pantry!
ReplyDeleteMade me nervous is right! I checked twice yesterday but no pantry. :( Glad to see the tradition didn't get skipped. :)
ReplyDeletetradition continues!
ReplyDeleteI'm sharing 'the lonely man goes to mass' which was inspired by a story our associate pastor, who's from Africa, told in his homily. It's posted on a different blog than my usual poetry blog, Opium Cactus Poetry Immersion.
ReplyDeleteI have missed everyone, tremendously in my absence. Missed writing too.
ReplyDeletePosted 2 more poems, both with audio, catpoem/claudius and soap opera hero. 'catpoem/claudius' has a kitten picture of my cat Claudius.
ReplyDeleteSo slow today... I'll be back this afternoon to read through the rest of your work.
ReplyDeletePoets United,
ReplyDeletePosting my poems a little bit late.....
Eileen
Some have begun to come out after a bit of silence!
ReplyDelete(Yes! A second one!)
ReplyDeleteHello everyone. This is my first time posting here. I learned about the site through one of Raven's posts, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. It looks like such a great forum and a supportive community. The poems I posted are not new, but I have only recently put them up on my blog. One I wrote while I was in Iraq, and the other is quite old actually, but it seemed appropriate to post them together due to their similar themes.
ReplyDeleteHi there.....glad I found this blog....I've joined the like...but am afraid I'v e done it wrong....not much of a computer whiz here....anyway...i have written 7 or so poems on my blog they are listed on my sidebar under poetry.
ReplyDeleteJo
I've never done 3 in a week -- likely not even two. A dam has burst -- what can I say. (I'll shut up until next time).
ReplyDeleteIt's been so long since I last posted here. Hope I'm not too late. :)
ReplyDeleteHi...lots of reading to do :)
