Today, write a poem about something exceedingly ordinary, something completely mundane. Edit it to elevate it. Turn it into art. Choose your words carefully, using only those conveying your specific intent. Remove everything that doesn't serve you well. If you're comfortable, leave a note below your post inviting others to critique in order to further elevate the work.

    I did write something on these lines. But will not repost it. instead will try to pen something. So not in FIRST today! :)

    I managed to write a more detailed poem, which I then edited to produce this version...I hope this style is correct!!

    Hello I am new here, Kim. I joined this community of awesome poets on 11 August... and I am humbled by all the talent I see. :)

    Also, this challenge is going to be my fave I think since I wrote about my pencil and let the cat out of the bag that I am a total stationery nut.

    Thanks, Kim, for a prompt that challenged me with the concept of brevity (shivers down my spine). Hardest thing for me to do is KISS (Keep It Simple, Shorty!). Amy
