whew....creative kim...and out of the box....will see what i can do during my planning period today....can it be any occupation? and does the poem have to be about that occupation or are we going for something different?
ReplyDeletesorry if i am making this more difficult than it really is...smiles.
Any occupation, Brian; and any direction your creative path takes you.
DeleteOMG Kim, you certainly put forth the best prompts. Wasn't quite poetic today, but your prompt made me take a go at it. Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteOh jeez this is going to take some brain power... :)
ReplyDeleteSo, I may have mixed the directions by picking the occupation first, but the process was a riot! Almost literally. Thanks for the prompt, Kim.
ReplyDeleteamid the razor steam, she bicycle stirs the grounds
ReplyDeleteto a monkey perk, then raindrop pours it into a mug
topped with supernova whip
this coffee blend leads to hickey changes as it hits
the gut like a jellyfish tap, hot not name ice
leaving a string mark all the way down
'i'll have another. "sure"
the bells chime as some leave, some enter
& i scissor sprinkle the blue oblivion
so i used verbs that have to do with being a barista...this was fun...i need to copy this one into my notebook for later to try again....
I love yours and now I want Iced coffee ;D
Deletethanks ella...was fun
DeleteI especially love the "blue oblivion". Way cool poem, Brian.
Deletecool one Brian. :)
DeleteOooh, that 'supernova whip' makes me drool....fantastic take, Brian!
Deletei've expanded this, a bit outside the parameters you gave in 3 and 3 and will post it tomorrow...i expanded the list as well, but i am still giving you a nod at the end kim...thanks for getting me moving in this direction.
DeleteA treat this one is Brian! leaves the mark all the way down...for sure:)
DeleteThe final line... the blue oblivion... LOVE the image it conjures. Great job, Brian!
DeleteFun Kim....I am working on mine now! :D
ReplyDeleteA fun prompt, Kim - different.......I am looking forward to giving it a whirl.
ReplyDeleteAwesome exercise, Kim. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMixed it up! Fun! Thanks, Kim!
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! It's good to be back...:)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful prompt, Kim. Came back after a while here...it's late now. Shall come back to read the other poems tomorrow...ciao!
I had fun! Thank you Kim~ I did go off track a bit...but I like the direction your prompt took me!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and creative prompt Kim..loved it :)
ReplyDeleteWell, that was a bit different! I used verbs to do with being a psychic reader. Maybe I got it wrong and should have built the poem on only one noun-verb combination? But I used them all, line by line, and came up with something that doesn't quite make sense ... but almost seems to.
ReplyDeleteI used 10th combination as title!
DeleteOh, and my poem is not about the occupation. Others (as far as I've read) seem to be doing that.
DeleteAm I right in my attempt? I still hold the doubt.
ReplyDeleteKim you always pose such a thought provoking prompts, Thanks for making me to sit, think and write.
Oh so sorry - my second link is a mistake!
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never! This was a challenging prompt. Mine is up at:
