Poetry Pantry #333

source

Greetings, Poets!  As most of you already know, this is the last Poetry Pantry of 2016.  It has been a good year, hasn't it?

I hope you all read the conversation between Sherry and Elizabeth Crawford last Monday & enjoyed Sumana's "music prompt" on Wednesday and Rosemary's delightful featuring of Buddah Moskowicz' poem "How to Live Forever."  There is always something going on here, and we do appreciate those of you who consider Poets United a poetry home.

After sharing poetry with one another today and tomorrow, do come back to view Sherry's holiday post which will be the interim post until the new year.  We think you will enjoy it!!

With no delay, link your poem below. Stop in and say hello in comments.  Visit the poems of others who have shared their work.

Now everyone have a great break.  See you here once again, two weeks from today,  on Sunday, January 1, 2017!

  4. Good morning Mary & All…

As we approach the end of a pretty crazy year! Here is my very latest piece, only just released this week on my website.

This is to be my final offering for 2016 and, as ever, comments and/or personal responses always very welcome and much appreciated…

It certainly wasn’t the easiest of years to fine a creative close to, but hope all you enjoy and find something in it… I am also really looking forward to catching up with everyone else’s new work later today too…

Have a great Sunday everyone…. And I wish you all a truly wonderful Christmas and the very fruitful and joyful New Year ahead.

  12. Hey all! Happy end of year in all your celebration, happiness and thoughtfulness. I am running out the door now to get to the Advent Service, back to make a pot for tonight's Advent potluck--maybe a turkey meatloaf or a salad--hmm. Cookies? And then back. I'll be enjoying your poems through the week. I love us very much. Your poems are a gift to me, food for life. Thank you.

  15. "Contmplations," you didn't say anything here, and I can't find your blog. Your link in the pantry went to "Dverse." If anyone knows this "Contemplations" please clue him/her in....as I am deleting the link.

  16. Hello everybody. Thank you Mary for steering our ship so well – and to all who sail in her I wish a peaceful and joyous year's end, ready for a new beginning!

I am ahead of all you Northern Hemisphere people in time – but what that means in practice is that the post goes live just as I fall into bed, and it is hours later that I get to read all your poems. Now it is morning here and I have to go out for some hours, so it will be later again that I come to read you. I hope you don't mind. I actually like the fact that I often get to savour your words in a leisurely manner over several days. And thank you to all who come and comment on mine!

  17. Happy Holidays to everyone at PU! I want to thank you for including me in your wonderful group of talented poets! I had so much fun being interviewed here (my first time ever) and making such good friends. I'm ready for the New Year and hope it brings us all much happiness and some much needed peace.

It was such a good year writing with PU, so many good poems! I enjoyed reading your work and thank you for your support of mine! I looked forward to, and appreciated every comment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I have new photos up on Bike With Bekkie from my rides if you're interested. There's a link to it on CP.

I took some time off from my writing but I'm back, so I'll see you all after the break.

Hoping for the best! Love, Bekkie

  18. A strange thing, the linky dumped the people I have read so far like I'm starting over. Nothing PU can do, I hope I'm not missing someone!
