Hello word weavers and word lovers! For those who don't know me yet, allow me to introduce myself... my name is Rommy Cortez-Driks, tea-adoring, music-appreciating, witchy-flavored, nerd extraordinaire. I am honored to be the latest addition to the staff at Poets United and will do my best to uphold the standards of all the people who have given their hearts and words to this page.
While you are enjoying your Sunday beverage of choice, you may want to linger over this past week's offerings. Winter came early in Sumana's Midweek Motif. This last Wild Friday introduced us to the work of Christine Strelan. Get ready for an Awakening for this upcoming Midweek Motif.
So hit us with your wordy wonders--poetry, prose, fiction, nonfiction, old, new--it's all good. But keep prose pieces to 369 words or under, please. Thanks and enjoy the word magic.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Rommy, for joining and continuing the wonderful work (and I have no doubt that - much as we all love poetry - it IS work) making Poet's United 'HAPPEN', for our Community of Poets.
ReplyDeleteHi Rommy! So glad that you're hosting.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you hosting here... I will come around reading a bit later...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the warm welcome everyone.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from a fellow tea drinker, although I'm someone of more basic tastes. It is okay to take my time through the contributions, testing each "blend" along the way? (sorry)
ReplyDeleteHi Joel! LOL, I will never look askance at a tea pun. Feel free to browse at your leisure.
ReplyDeleteThat painting is amazing. I can’t wait to look up the artist.

ReplyDeleteGood morning, Rommy! So nice to see you here. Thank you for hosting! Okay, so when I first saw the image you posted, I didn't yet have my glasses on and I thought the woman was smoking something fun. :-) Turns out, it's a magical steaming cup of tea. Happy reading everyone!
ReplyDeleteSorry, didn't mean to link twice. I'm not sure my brain got out of bed this dreary morning!
ReplyDeleteWe'll let you off just this once, LOL.
DeleteHope you all had a good Sunday. Now I have to go and make me som tea I think. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood Evening, Poets! Welcome, Rommy!
ReplyDeleteI posted an old poem of mine that is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteRommy, that glorious painting has inspired me to have a second cup of coffee (I know she's probably having tea, but... I'm having coffee anyway. Again, welcome to Poets United, Rommy. Now, I shall do a bit of slightly late reading.
