Hope you have read Rosemary's "I Wish I'd Written This" where she shared the poem 'Dawn Bursey' written by her friend Helen Patrice. I think many of us have been influenced by a librarian when we were children. The prose poem she shared tweaked memories of my own, and perhaps it will tweak yours too.
Monday Sherry is featuring the poems of three of our most prolific women poets. I know you will enjoy this feature.
Next week's Midweek Motif is YOGA. Should be interesting to see the poems we write.
With no delay, let's share poetry. Looking forward to reading what you write and seeing your comments below! Enjoy a very 'poetic' day!
Hi PU-Friends,
ReplyDeleteIt took bit extra time to capture my heartiest image in response to Sumana-di's 'Extraordinary' summon of last Wednesday. So sharing here today. Happy Sunday!
Hi Biswajit...I read your poem, but your blog is confusing as I am being asked to comment without being able to see where my comment goes or to see others' comments. And I wondered why this is.... Thus I refrained from commenting.
DeleteHello Mary,
DeleteIt's my pleasure you went and read!
Oh, please let me clarify your confusion (sorry if it troubled you even the least ...)
I declare, your valued comments at my blog will reach straight to my designated inbox. On each submission you'll see a brief acknowledgement, "...received successfully!..." and home page will load automatically.
My website works on a distributed system— integrating many sub-websites (sub-domains and different servers). For seamless performance, I collect all messages through a single, centralized commenting / messaging front. That's why comments don't show up on individual sites, rather are channeled straight to my designated inbox. I receive with pleasure, and whenever possible, I email back to every new friend I get.
Therefore, Mary, and any other friend of mine hesitating to say something on my site, please do feel free! Your every word will please my ears, if not the heart.
Welcoming you all!
Bye.
Thanks for explaining, Biswajit. I have never seen a site like yours before. Smiles.
DeleteThanks for another pantry
ReplyDeleteHey everyone,
ReplyDeleteHope you're having an amazing day so far❤️ sharing my poem "The Jewel" and rushing off to work. I'll be back later tonight to read and comment❤️ thank you Mary for hosting yet another gorgeous pantry!
Lots of love,
Sanaa
I love the imagery in the image and yes Helen Patrice's poem was admirable and very moving.
ReplyDeleteIt's hotter than Bangkok here in London today - too hot to read even so sharing a micro poem with a cool theme (literally rather than urban dictionary)
Good morning once again, friends! Hope everyone has a great week.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning - Wishing all a beautiful day! I will be in and out today, but I look forward to reading your poems.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, friends. It is raining lightly on the West Coast today, and i am tired from a busy week. I plan a very restful day today and no better way to begin it than with poetry. Thank you, Mary.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fathers Day to all pantry fathers
ReplyDeletemuch love...
Yes Happy Day To all Fathers.
ReplyDeleteZQ
It has been a wonderful day, and I'm coming in late to do my rounds... I look forward to read all the great poetry.
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day to all the dads!
ReplyDeleteAm too tired to post and link today, kids, and my last post is too depressing for words, but am enjoying making the rounds.
ReplyDeleteSorry, just realised I didn't leave a comment after linking my poem. I was rushing off to spend the weekend with an old friend in another town – just far enough away that we don't see each other as often as we'd like. I had a lovely weekend there and hope you all had a good one too.
ReplyDeleteSo good to see so many poets here.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary.
Don't forget those Like's and G+1's.
