The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares
Anything goes!! All Poems, all Poets, All Week!!
Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.
1. Don’t link to more than 3 poems per week.
2. Please visit some of the other poems linked here when you link to yours.
3. Leave a comment after you have posted

ReplyDeleteI feel myself finding a theme for this year. A working-out of anxiety.
ReplyDeleteLove to share and check out some good poetry!
ReplyDeleteThanks as always for hosting this! Here's my Brooding Limericks.
ReplyDeletei'll be back later Sunday to visit ~ love The Poetry Pantry!
ReplyDeletehave a great week everyone!
For some reason the Sunday Wordle's always evoke some eerie lands... This week another....
ReplyDeleteAwesome! The Poetry Pantry is open! A new week lays before us. For this weeks Poetry Pantry I have chosen a weblog item of my poetry blog.
ReplyDeleteI am participating in a Lent Haiku Journey in which I have to write an every day haiku inspired on a Biblical text. Lent is the 40 day period between (as we call it) Ash Wednesday (the last day of carnival, a catholic festival) and Easter. It's a sort of fast and a time for consideration and meditation.
I hope you enjoy the read.
Namaste
Happy, Happy Sunday poets!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday United Poets!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.

ReplyDeleteMe, too!
DeleteHave a wonderful week, everyone!
OK, I'm in for two. Both short, and a little bit quirky. :-)
DeleteWell, looks like blogspot still doesn't like wordpress, none of the blogspot sites have allowed me to comment with my wordpress account. They need to learn to play better together. I'll try posting again with just a name/url, blogspot doesn't seem to mind that.
I found this passionate space this week. A moral bravery that I may not possess all that often, but comes once in a while to my timid heart. Perhaps revolutions are made of these moments and just the right conditions...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to be in the pantry again. This time, I offer something brand new. And - off to reading!
ReplyDeleteSome really good lines, some of which stay with you even after you shut the browser...
ReplyDeleteThank you Robert and all at PU for making this a great place to share!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading some poetry :) Hello all :)
ReplyDeleteJust discovered this site via the lyrical poet, and fellow Sheffielder, Eve Redwater. I also 'know' the lovely poet, Kim Nelson. What I see so far, it looks to be a vibrant community of poets and inspiring too, particularly because you permit space to classic poetry as well - I love Sonnet XVIII, by the way. Whenever I need to demonstrate iambic pentameter to anyone, I quote the first lines of this WS masterpiece, I why wouldn't I..?! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for creating such a sharing environment.
I hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's Day! :)
ReplyDeletePoets United,
ReplyDeleteA little bit late after a busy weekend with St Patrick's Day and Mother's Day......
Eileen
I am so grateful to have a place to post poems, and love getting a chance to read everyone else's lovely writings!
ReplyDeleteHi everyone...nice to be here and looking forward to doing some reading.
ReplyDeleteHi all...I just posted a link to 3 haikus, which represent three of the first poems I have written in my life. I am not sure if any of them are traditional haikus (ie. 5-7-5, focusing on a season with a change of viewpoint, etc.). I will read through some of the your (my fellow contributors') poems.
ReplyDeleteHi, I posted a second poem for this week. Just a little poem about the sensuality of the cello...
ReplyDeleteHello all...just posted a poetic tribute for those of us who have known suffrage and the grace that is sure to follow. Peace.
ReplyDeletei'll be back to visit more ~ absolutely amazing poetry! love it!
ReplyDeleteThe poem I submitted has a hint of Neruda, tiny hint, but my heart for my lovely wife Judith overflowed and thus inspired the piece.
