Poetry Pantry #285

Skyline - Frankfurt am Main

Good morning, Friends!  Hope everyone's new year is getting off to a good start. We were glad to see that you found your way back to PU this week, enjoying Sherry's Monday feature, Susan's Midweek Motif, and Rosemary's I Wish I'd Written This.

If you haven't read it, do read the poem "Strawberries and Cream" by Res Burman.  Rosemary featured this poem for I Wish I'd Written This. One screen back!  Makes me hungry just thinking about it!

This week on Monday Sherry is featuring a  Blog of the Week.  You have seen this poet around often.  I think you will enjoy the way Sherry has highlighted her work!

Sumana prompts this week for Midweek Motif.  Her prompt is FOOD.  Something we all enjoy.  We can hardly wait to see your take  on the subject.

If any of you have photos that you would like to have featured, please let me know.  The above photo is a Wikimedia Commons photo. I am interested in SCENIC views - specific identified places rather than general photos.  Inquire with me before sending.

Now, with no further delay, post your link below!  Say hello in the comments.  And don't forget to  visit others as well....I will see you on the trail!

    1. Just returned from Denmark, and there was no snow there at all. You're lucky (I guess).

  5. nice to be back and wishing everyone good things for the new year - winter has stymied the muse it seems perhaps because it has been so unseasonably warm and wet - crisp northerlies due soon maybe that will inspire.

p.s. impressive skyline - will offer up any if I manage to emulate

  8. Brrrrr! Woke up to very, very cold weather here. And getting colder. Dogs are NOT very happy to go outside with these temps! (Nor am I!) Glad to see the pantry is busy this morning.....see you on the trail.

  10. Hi folks! I'm live streaming a conference today--in addition to all the usual Sunday community activity--so I'll be in and out. It's a warm rainy day today, so I'm trying to imagine sitting in front of the computer is like sitting in front of a fireplace. Added comfort, yes? Happy New Year!

  11. Yippee! For once I am up early and the Pantry is just half full so I can keep up with it today:) I was up in the night as my neighbor called to say she heard whinnying and kicking in the stalls - worried a cougar might be about. My sister and her man were sleeping so I took my flashlight, scanned the yard and slowly made my way to the horses. They were spooked but okay. The cougar likely went on his way. My neighbor watched from her yard to make sure I didnt get eaten, LOL.

  18. Great photo. Something about the lights in the city reflecting on water that is endlessly fascinating. Been sidelined with the flu - nasty stuff - but making my way in again. Hope you all had a happy new year and that the year continues full of joy and creativity for you all. I'm in and out today of the Pantry - resting between nibbles of glorious poems.
