Greetings, Poets!
This is the day Daylight Savings Time ends in the U.S. So some, I am sure, are enjoying an extra hour of sleep. Maybe an extra hour for writing poetry too? Smiles.
This is the week of the Presidential Election in the United States. I think most people's nerves are on edge. Perhaps I should just speak for myself and say that MINE are.
Susan had a good prompt for Midweek Motif last week: Day of the Dead. In the light of the above, I struggled with inspiration. I could not find a way to escape into words. But thanks to those who DID participate in this well-written and very timely prompt.

Wednesday, we welcome Sumana back to Midweek Motif with her prompt "Path." This prompt strikes me as very relevant right now.

I am very late this time, and have not been on the internet at all the last 48 hours – but now, joy oh joy, my coverage problems are all solved and so I'll be able to enjoy all your poetry with more ease and promptness at last. Dear Americans, good luck!!! I so believe in voting, but would not like to be in your shoes this time. For the rest of us, all we can do is send prayers, love and light for the best outcome. xx
ReplyDeleteHa, I have been to the polls for early voting more than a week ago now. These last weeks have been stressful. I don't think the stress will leave when the election is over. Perhaps it will intensify even if the only qualified, informed, stable candidate wins.
