Poetry Pantry #327
Greetings, Poets!
This is the day Daylight Savings Time ends in the U.S. So some, I am sure, are enjoying an extra hour of sleep. Maybe an extra hour for writing poetry too? Smiles.
This is the week of the Presidential Election in the United States. I think most people's nerves are on edge. Perhaps I should just speak for myself and say that MINE are.
Susan had a good prompt for Midweek Motif last week: Day of the Dead. In the light of the above, I struggled with inspiration. I could not find a way to escape into words. But thanks to those who DID participate in this well-written and very timely prompt.
Monday, please return to read Sherry's feature -- a revisit to a young Indian poet, an article that you will really enjoy!
Wednesday, we welcome Sumana back to Midweek Motif with her prompt "Path." This prompt strikes me as very relevant right now.
Now, without further delay, let's share poetry. Link your poem below. Stop in and say hello in the comments. And go about enjoying the poetry of others.

Hello everyone,
ReplyDeleteHope you guys are having an amazing day so far ❤️ it's a beautiful Sunday afternoon here in K.L ☕️ sharing my poem "Colloquy." Thank you so much Mary for hosting yet another gorgeous pantry; so good to see you again ❤️
Lots of love,
Sanaa
Happy Sunday.. here we woke to a world of snow.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary and friends. I am sharing another collection of poems from my archives for the reading pleasure of those who may be interested in a retrospective of my work. It is a comment-free site. Please enjoy.
ReplyDeleteStupendous work, Kerry ❤️

Great work, Kerry.
DeleteI do love when writing inspired by others... some of the best poetry is written that way.
DeleteAs ever an astute and powerful poem Kerry - your wisdom has no borders
DeleteReading you is always a highlight of my day, Kerry. Exceptional work in your archive and I am so glad you are doing this.
DeleteI'm glad to know for sure because every time I read you, I hunt like crazy for a place to comment. :)
DeleteReally incredible work, woman. I'm so glad you're reposting the best of the best.
This time through, I especially love the silver haired lady with flowers of her forgotten June's. Wow.
DeleteThese are beautiful Kerry--I love it when writing is inspired by the work of others
DeleteI too enjoyed them very much, and was particularly thrilled to be reminded of Eleanor Farjeon.
DeleteHello friends, a very happy Sunday to you all...
ReplyDeleteThank you for another pantry - once again I am sorry if I can't get back around to your posts..
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, may it be a fun day :) I will be in and out today, but I will get to all your wonderful poems.
ReplyDeleteIt still feels like summer here in the South. :P
ReplyDeleteGood morning again, friends. I am making my way around...hoping to meet you on the trail.

DeleteGood Afternoon and happy Sunday to all here. Best Wishes to my USA poetry friends going to the polls on Tuesday 8th
ReplyDeletemuch love...
Happy Sunday everyone--back to simple things right now--hanging on to bits of myself as I look forward to getting a new hip in January
ReplyDeleteWishing our American friends good luck for Tuesday the 8th. We are very anxious about the results down under so I can imagine how stressed you all up there, must be feeling at the moment. All we can do is hope and pray ...but you...you can and must vote!!! GOOD LUCK!
ReplyDeleteHello, lovely poets! I am very late this time, and have not been on the internet at all the last 48 hours – but now, joy oh joy, my coverage problems are all solved and so I'll be able to enjoy all your poetry with more ease and promptness at last. Dear Americans, good luck!!! I so believe in voting, but would not like to be in your shoes this time. For the rest of us, all we can do is send prayers, love and light for the best outcome. xx
ReplyDeleteHa, I have been to the polls for early voting more than a week ago now. These last weeks have been stressful. I don't think the stress will leave when the election is over. Perhaps it will intensify even if the only qualified, informed, stable candidate wins.
