POETRY PANTRY #435

Happy Sunday, fellow poets! I thought today, for a change, we might enjoy this short drive through the Himalayas, so close to the heavens. These mountains take my breath away. Sumana has visited them many times. I am in awe thinking of what it must be like to see them in person, and feel their powerful energy.

We hope you had a wonderful week, in all of the four directions on the globe. Did you catch Rosemary's feature on Friday? It was a guest appearance by Sanaa Rizvi, who shared a favourite poem and her thoughts about it. Do scroll back, if you missed it. It is always lovely to find new ways to feature our wonderful members!

On Monday, we will be visiting Kim Russell in our Life of a Poet series.  On Wednesday, Sumana's prompt will be Life : Paradox and / or Balance. That sounds like a prompt with a lot of scope. And then it will be Friday again, and another weekend. They seem to come around so swiftly these days.

Let's dive into the Pantry and see what goodies await us. Link your poem and visit your fellow poets. Thank you for showing up so faithfully every Sunday. We wouldn't be here without you!

p.s. I am busy with some life changing event over the next month or so and thus will be unable to do much in the way of visiting but will pop by when I find the time.

  4. Hi, Mary. I am just starting my day, here on the west coast. It promises sun, big waves, and a walk with Menina along a rugged trail. It doesn't get much better!

  6. Happy Sunday - I missed the Starting Over Prompt - so decided to share a "New Beginning - A Sonnet". I hope everyone has a peaceful day in their corner of the world.

  7. It's such a long time ago that I went on a ride like that - Norfolk is so flat, we have no mountains or hairpin bends. I hope that your weekends weren't as hair-raising as the ride in the video clip!

  8. LOL, Kim, the pass through our mountains here are more hair-raising! Especially in snow.......today however is warm and sunny and I am just back from the Wild Pavific Trail, wonderful vistas of ocean.......so warm I had to take my jacket off.

  9. Oh, I thought I had commented already, sorry; must have just meant to and got diverted. Anyway, lovely to see the Himalayas. I did once see them at close quarters on a visit to Nepal – but from the window of a small plane, which is probably the easiest way to do it. They certainly are very beautiful, spectacular and majestic!
