Poetry Pantry #243

Spring at Walt Disney World
by Patti Wolf

Greetings, Poets...and a Happy Sunday to you!

Here we are just a week away from spring in the Northern Hemisphere and a week away from autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.    And it is the day after Pi Day!  Pi Day comes only once ever 100 years. And this was a very special Pi Day. This year is the first time in a century that the date is 3/14/15, which describes the first five digits of pi, 3.1415.

If you haven't read Rosemary's wonderful article on Helen Reddy and I Am Woman, do go back, do check back and read it.  Looking to the week ahead, Sherry has an extra special article tomorrow. Stay tuned.  And on Wednesday Susan is prompting us to write about The Sun! Many of us can use a bit of Sun-shine after the long winter.

Patti Wolf has  shared some "Spring at Walt Disney World Photos" with us this week.  And, yes, I am hoping some more of you have photos that you are interested in sharing with Poetry Pantry!   Leave me a note in the 'comments' if you do.  I would like to feature them.

  1. The vibrant shades of greenery, how gorgeous! I didn't make it last Sunday's Poetry Pantry but today I have prepared something I did for one whole week, almost. Ha.. a Cento! I have always wanted to try that form before but always struggled with time to do it. So today, I'm going to offer my very first attempt to arrange, somehow, a decent Cento. Hope you like it. Happy Sunday everyone! smiles.

But back now firing on all cylinders - now that Spring is springing... Whoo! Hoo! Looking forward to a good old read up with you all later

  11. I have been on a wonderful sabbatical in Florida for the past few weeks with limited if any ability to communicate other than through speech. But, I am now back in New England and with unlimited ability to communicate beyond a can and a string.
I did miss going into the Pantry on Sunday mornings.

  16. Good morning, my poetry buddies! Wonderful photos, Patti. The colorful sky shot through the trees is my fave - beautiful! It's a Sky-Show going on up there! Yes, tomorrow is an extra special feature. Hope you all stop by. One of our poets, Leslie Moon, is launching a project to help Ebola orphans and is calling for submissions among our members. What she has to say will blow you away.
