Poetry Pantry #418

Photos of Okarito, New Zealand
by Marja Blom

Greetings, friends!  Today we are featuring some photos of Okarito, a small town in New Zealand.  What beautiful pictures.  Thank you, Marja, for sharing views from your travel.

Isn't it amazing that it is September already?  Where did summer go?  Thanks to all of you who took part in Poets United this past week.  It means a lot that you seem to enjoy our features and our opportunities to write.

I hope you haven't missed Sherry's I Wish I'd Written This, in which she features two poems by the Canadian poet Margaret Atwood.

On Monday you will have an opportunity to read an absolutely riveting chat that Sherry had with one of our long-time poets who has lived through a period of history most of us have not.  You will NOT want to miss it.

Next week Susan's Midweek Motif will be Charity.

With no delay, let's share poetry.  Link your one poem below.  Stop in and say hello.  Visit the poems of others who link.  I will see you on the trail!

    1. I thought September would never come, but here it is, and it's a wonderful month in which to write poetry.

  3. What lovely, dreamlike photos! Although it is a lot closer to me than it is to most of you, I have never visited new Zealand – even though I have a brother who lives there. (But he comes back to Australia a lot.) It looks spectacular; perhaps I'll get there one day.

  8. The photos are so beautiful, the landscape very similar to B.C. so much beauty on this glorious planet of ours. It is a beautiful day here. September is my favourite month. Golden days. I hear the geese honking right now through my open window.
