Today's prompt #108 is Compass. I want you to think about your Truth North or perhaps a journey you took. Did you found the directions or did you get lost it? What comes to mind when you think of the word compass?! You can write your poem in any direction, the past, present or future. Where are you hoping to point your compass?

"Conscience is our magnetic compass; reason our chart."~ Joseph Cook
"Families are the compass that guide
us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we
occasionally falter." ~Brad Henry
"Your inner knowing is your only true compass."~Joy Page
This is a good prompt, one for which it would be easy (I think) to write a dozen or more poems. Of course, I could like only three of them! :)
ReplyDelete"link," not "like"

ReplyDeleteI posted mine...a true tale from childhood.
ReplyDeleteRelatively Speaking, I tried to comment on yours; but some extraneous stuff got in my way, and I could not move it in order to comment. Sigh.
My first poem for Poets United. Finally!
ReplyDeleteThe topic works perfectly with something I've been thinking about. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteElla,
ReplyDeleteTwo different directions with my two poems.
