Good day, Poets!

Hope each one of you is enjoying a good weekend.  Today we can enjoy photos by Totomai.  His photos were taken of the Boracay Island, Philippines.  This is one of the most popular beaches in Southeast Asia.

Totomai says,  "I want to share these photos I took in 2007, before I got my DSLR camera. I was using my Casio Exilim point and shoot camera then. There was a point that I was enjoying the post-processing style called 'orton.'  It's making the photos dream like. Some of the photos attached here are post-processed with orton."

    Totomai, what GLORIOUS photos! I especially love the one of the silhouetted temples. And the dreamlike quality of the orton shots. This morning smells like summer mornings did when I was a kid and I am breathing deeply and remembering those days when all dreams were possible...........looking forward to some poetic inspiration as I dive into the Pantry.     I've never heard of the post-processing style called orton, but it certainly does make the photos look dreamlike. Wow! Gorgeous. All of them are utterly stunning. Thank you for sharing them with us, Totomai.

    Hi All,

    Glad you enjoyed the Boracay photos. It is one of the most popular beaches in the Philippines. Or still the most popular beach in the Philippines. It is the same island as my hometown but going there takes forever. I would love to revisit it again someday.

    Orton post-processing is somewhat obsolete already but it was really popular in 2008-2009.

    maybe a little melancholy but i think it's cathartic for me. my wife's just got back from visiting her elderly parents both in total assisted care and may soon depart. sixty five years married and in love. their souls may wish to travel together
