Photos of Boracay Islands, Philippines
by Totomai
Good day, Poets!
Hope each one of you is enjoying a good weekend. Today we can enjoy a second set of photos by Totomai. Once again he shares pictures of Boracay Island, Philippines. This is one of the most popular beaches in Southeast Asia.
Totomai says, "I want to share these photos I took in 2007, before I got my DSLR camera. I was using my Casio Exilim point and shoot camera then. There was a point that I was enjoying the post-processing style called 'orton.' It's making the photos dream like. Some of the photos attached here are post-processed with orton."
And for Wednesday, be thinking about Susan's theme of 'freedom' for the Midweek Motif.
If you haven't read the poem "Parting" by Tanith Lee that Rosemary shared for her "The Living Dead" series, today is a good time to check back! And next Friday, of course, stop back for a new feature. Will it be "The Living Dead" or "I Wish I'd Written This"?
With no further delay, hope that you will enjoy the Pantry today. Leave a short comment when you post; and be sure to visit the links of others. I will look forward to reading what you share.
Hi All - hope everyone's having a good day! I just returned from a business trip and I am still unpacking some of my stuff. I missed the panty last week so hope to read your poems today and tomorrow.
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos Totomai, a real feast....a very happy Sunday to you all friends :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures... Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBack to poets united after a long-long time!!!
Looking forward to read you all :)
Beautiful photos, Totomai!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think I would have a new poem to share (and the old ones have been well viewed already) — but after all, there is something. I finished, just a little while ago, one I'd been working on for some little time. How nice to have The Poetry Pantry to share it with (or at). :-)
Beautiful post - must read in more depth a bit later today. Now two days of posts by others to cover - expect honest assessments from me..
ReplyDeleteHi Tinker! I wish it would be possible to comment with wordpress or blogger. I am not interested in the 'medium' format your blog seems to require.
DeleteI too was unable to comment without becoming part of a site I don't wish to join. But I did enjoy your write and wanted to say so.
DeleteYes, Forest, a beautiful piece of writing. Sorry I am unable to comment on your site.

ReplyDeleteWe are going to have a beautiful day here today. Will be out and enjoying! And...looking forward to some poetry as well.
ReplyDeleteGood morning.
ReplyDeleteDoing a little reading.
Loving that sunset pic.
Well totomai you are amazing no matter the camera....love these and their dreamy quality. Today it is chilly, windy and rainy reminding me of early spring or fall...certainly not summer. So an additional summer poem is called for to bring back the sun and heat. Hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI will do my best to get around to folks today but it may be later in the week. My husband has injured his back so blogging has taken a back seat for now.
It is so good to see the beauty of nature, and man at peace in it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting, Mary.
Well, I am missing those islands and sunset....Here it is summer, but heavy with rain ~ Thanks for sharing the pictures kabayan ~ Happy Sunday to everyone ~

ReplyDeleteGood morning, fellow poets. It took me all morning to dig my way out of my inbox. Making the rounds here late, today, but I will get there. Wonderful photos, Totomai! As always. I will post photos of the wedding later on today - it was enchanting, a magical evening.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon! I'll be making rounds off and on today and tomorrow. Gorgeous photos, Totomai!! Thanks for sharing :) I hope everyone has a good week!
ReplyDeleteMary, I reposted my name because the first time sent everyone to last weeks post...my mistake. Sorry

I deleted your first link, ZQ. Mistakes happen to us all.
DeleteHappy Sunday to all! I am a bit late, but I will make the rounds tonight and tomorrow to read your poems.
ReplyDeleteTotomai - you take such lovely photo's. Thanks for sharing..
Hi all - yes as I commented elsewhere these photographs are exquisite. I must apologize for not getting to everyone today. I have very good excuses - but frankly the loss in not getting to all the poets I love is my loss. Enjoy the beginning of a new week and a new month to come <3
ReplyDeleteOh and thank you for directing me to Rosemary's column on Tanith Lee - as I wrote I just met Tanith Lee and will now mourn her loss and find her work to read.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! Look at all these poems and links! I've been out all day to three Quaker meetings and then a friend took me out to dinner and a movie for my 64th birthday which is tomorrow. I'm hearing that Beatles' song louder and louder. At age 25 I never imagined I'd get this old, but today I felt very young. I'm going to enjoy these poems a little at a time and read them throughout the week. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Susan!
DeleteHappy Birthday, Susan :) Sounds like you had a pretty good day!
DeleteHappy Birthday, Susan!
DeleteHappy Birthday Susan :-)
DeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteI returned from after week in Barcelona associated with business and some sightseeing. Glad to be home, especially after the dreadful terrorist attacks in Tunisia, during which time, so many people were killed and maimed. It brings me back to that fear I lived with in Northern Ireland too..My poem is influenced by these happenings.
Eileen
Yes, what a frightening event that was! It is always good to return home.
DeleteGreat photographs, Mary. Thanks for sharing Totomai. I wanted to link a poem this time, but the internet connection was extremely slow here due to heavy rains...so, I had to skip it this time again :(((
ReplyDeleteShall try to come back here next sunday....
