Poetry Pantry #260

Local City Scene

Good Sunday, Poets!

Hope each one of you is enjoying a good weekend.

Do any of you have photos that you would like to share, ones that I could use in the Pantry?  If so, let me know!  Leave me a note in the comments perhaps.

Do watch Poets United this week.  Sherry has prepared an interesting Poem-of-the-Week post for Monday, and Susan has chosen the prompt 'power' for this Wednesday's Midweek Motif.  And Rosemary, of course, has her interesting feature which appears on Friday!

If you have Facebook, do think about following Poets United on Facebook.  That way you are informed of each new feature.

With no further delay, hope that you will enjoy the Pantry today.  We always enjoy it if you leave  a short comment when you post.  Think about it as having a cup of coffee with friends before beginning the work of the day!  Do be sure to visit the links of others as well.  It is sort of like knocking on the doors of others, I think.  When we leave a comment, we let someone know that we enjoy them in the 'neighborhood.'  And the blogosphere IS a neighborhood, isn't it?

Do have a good week!

  8. Good morning.
I usually read most - I operate by a rule of two.
If you skip me twice or fail to return comment twice - I won't come back,
except to return a comment you leave.
Cause there are always "those neighbors" Ha.

  17. Good morning, kids. I am the hired hand this weekend so have already cleaned out three stalls, fed three horses, three dogs, one cat and am hunting for the birdseed as we speak for the wild birds.......a deer was in the pasture this morning, and hung around for a bit before she slipped away. Yay! It is finally cool, we had some much needed rain yesterday and I hope that helped the firefighters. Plunging in, looking forward to the goodies!

  19. You know that feeling you get when you run into an old friend you haven't seen since high school? The guy who was always genuinely glad to see you. The one who didn't care what you were wearing or what your address was. The one that wasn't on the football team because he was working in his father's garage overnight after school and weekends. Poets United is that guy to me. Always my safe haven.
