Florida Photos -
by Sherri Brannan
Good Sunday, Poets! Welcome to yet another Poetry Pantry. This is Labor Day weekend in both the United States and Canada. We are having the last family barbecue of the season on Monday. I would guess that many of you will be doing the same.
Today we have photos of Florida which were contributed by Sherri Brannon! The clouds are really beautifully photographed, aren't they? Thanks so much, Sherri.
And thinking of Sherri, please stop back tomorrow, as Sherry Blue Sky will be doing an update with Sherri Brannon in her Blog of the Week feature. I have had a sneak peak at the interview/article, and I know you will enjoy it. And...if you enjoy Sherri's photos today, the interview includes even more beautiful photography, as well as (of course) poetry!
Stop back on Wednesday for Midweek Motif. Sumana's prompt is "boredom." I would guess we all would be able to identify with that sometime. Susan continues to heal, and I am sure you were as happy as I was to see her at both Poetry Pantry & Midweek Motif this past week. Hope you will be back soon at Midweek Motif, Susan.
If you haven't read Rosemary's The Living Dead, please take a look. She features the poet Kenneth Rexroth & his poem "Airs and Angels: This Night Only." And, of course, she includes a lot of interesting information about the poet as well.
If you have Facebook, do think about following Poets United on Facebook. That way you are informed of each new feature.
Do have a good day & a poetic week! Thank you for making Poets United such a successful site!
Thank you for opening the pantry doors again - yes..it's a very fine neighbourhood!
ReplyDeleteSherri's photos are sheer poetry - my offering this week is far less picturesque. Its a great community which I enjoy visiting though frustrating for me as a wordpresser to prove I'm not a robot everytime I want to comment on a blogger's post
ReplyDeleteIf you set up a google account, you can link it to your WP site. You only have to do this once and then as long as you are signed in, you dont have that headache.
DeleteBlogger users can not remove the you are not a robot requirement, so there is nothing they can do about it - other than complain to google.
This collection of photos is superb. Really beautifully composed.
ReplyDeletemagnificent photos Sherri...a very happy Sunday to you all :)
ReplyDeleteYou're the only person who managed to figure out the poem till now! :D
Deletexoxo

ReplyDeleteReally nice framing on that first shot. I think it is my fav.
DeleteAre you on the east or west coast of Florida?
I lived down there for several years and have traveled all over the state
at different times. Its a beautiful state.
I'm in Central Florida, near Ocala. I'd love to be on the coast if we could! But we have family here. It is a beautiful place, I agree!
DeleteI have been to Ocala. Just south of Gainesville.
DeleteIt seems those skies are in control and the land is mere projection. Fine art!
DeleteThese are spectacular photos Sherri. Thanks for sharing them. Good Sunday Morning to all....it is Labor Day weekend, and I look forward to relaxing a bit although the garden never sleeps. Looking forward to stopping by each blog for some poetry reading today! Have a great day....

ReplyDeleteHey! What gorgeous photos! I am going to try to read all, but will take my time. I'm still reading in stretches of just about an hour at a time. But what a day for poetry! Everything I've read so far is thrilling.
