Good Sunday, everyone!  Today I am sharing some photos I took in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, when I was there recently.  I hope you enjoy them.

It's Father's Day here in the U.S.  Not sure if other countries celebrate it the same day or not; but if you recognize this day at all (either as a father or celebration of your father or thinking of postive father figures in your life) I hope it is a joyful day.

If you have not read Rosemary's "I Wish I'd Written This" this week, do scroll back and give it a read. She features a really powerful poem by Leigh Spencer written after the Orlando killings.  There have been a lot of comments so far on the poem itself & related subjects.  It is indeed a worth while read. Thanks, Rosemary, for such a timely and thought-provoking contribution.

Monday Sherry provides us with three 'poems of the week' in her feature.  Three poets (familiar to many of you, I am sure) & an interesting subject.  Return....

Susan's Midweek Motif last week was "wind power," and we thank those of you who participated! This next Wednesday her prompt will be "resilience."  This is certainly a quality that that is good for us to have or to develop.  We look forward to reading your poetic thoughts.

Now, with no further delay, let's share poetry.  Link your one poem below.  Say hello in the comments.  And visit other poets who link.  Have a great poetic day.

  1. I think I stared at the picture of the Ottawa River for a bit too long. Maybe because it's sooo hot right now. Such stunning images!

Have a great Sunday, everyone... and a very happy Father's Day to those who are celebrating it today. ♥

I must apologise to everybody – unusually busy month, for me, this June, and I am still catching up with reading posts to last week's Pantry! But I will, because it is one of my enjoyments. (Smile.)

    2. I remember the moment my ex said to me "we were okay, before you started thinking you were a Person." LOL. It must be a Canadian thing.

  14. Wonderful photos, Mary. Ottawa looks so different from when I briefly lived there. I especially love the Chinatown Gate - there is a cool one in Victoria, too, sort of like it. Looking forward to some good reading this morning, my friends. Happy Day to all fathers, and to those honouring fathers on this day.

Happy Dad's Day everyone! My dad died in 1990 but I do think of him. Have a nice day!

Today I'm sharing a bit of my past a poem I wrote in 2013 called "The Abyss." Some of you may have had dad's that went to Viet Nam but if not enjoy anyway.

    Hugs! Bekkie
