Poetry Pantry - #113

The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares

Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.

Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to a poem in your blog.

There 3 simple rules:

1. Don’t link to more than 1 poem per week.  If you link more than one, anything after #1 will be removed.

2. Please visit several other poems linked here when you link to yours. Please
don't just link and run, waiting for others to visit you.

3. Leave a comment after you have posted
your link.  I find that people who leave comments tend to be more participatory.  They wish to be part of the community.  A little of this goes a long way.  It feels good for all.

  4. Hi kids, here's a really old one, from 2003, that sort of got missed when I posted it in 2011. Hope you like it.

  5. Whoops and major apologies on not one BUT TWO counts ... I am a Poetry Pantry misuser! I linked to TWO poems and they are absolutely fresh ! In full disclosure this is not the first time - have met many wonderful poets here and am now chagrined - will make my amends by commenting even more vigorously later today and through the holiday weekend. Happy Labor/Labour Day weekend where appropriate - Cheers to all with a bowed head for my greediness

    1. I wrote the second one quickly as I have been told by dear ones (mmm another topic) that my poems are "disturbing. "Shift Ten" was intended as a bit of runaway fun....

    2. Pearl, sorry...it is one poem per person. If one person is allowed to be 'greedy,' then everyone should be. I personally wrote three poems yesterday, and I had to CHOOSE which one to link. We all have that choice to make. I will always delete any links beyond the first. No exceptions.

  7. I was kind of in a funk and I thought what better way to get out of it than to link up and read some poetry. Let the inspiration begin...

  11. Remember, if you are a latecomer to Pantry (like right now or after), the best way for you to have YOUR blog visited is to go around and visit other poets who, hopefully, then will return the visit. Try it....and you will make some new friends!

  12. Don't forget to visit Poets United after 12:01 AM CDT on Tuesday....where you will be greeted with a new Vice/Versa prompt. If you check the very last poem in my blog, you will find a very early 'heads up' if you want to get a head start. Just sayin'.
