Greetings, Poets! Ha, how did it get to be April? In my part of the world here I look forward to seeing the signs of spring as they slowly appear. We at least have had a few of those infamous 'April showers.' Hope none of you got fooled badly on April Fool's Day yesterday!
And that reminds me that this coming Wednesday Susan's Midweek Motif will be April!
The photo that I feature today is the Wikimedia Commons photo of the day. Beautiful, I think. If anyone has photos you would like to share here in the Pantry, be sure to let me know!
Last week Susan's Midweek Motif prompt on "gender" had a great and varied response. I hope you didn't miss the impactful poem by Spike Milligan that Rosemary featured in The Living Dead. I really hope young men and women of today can be spared such a fate

ReplyDeleteOnce again, am going back, to my poetic morgue, to share an older poem, with everyone. And no, it has nothing to politics, my personal journey, or the LGBT+ community. Rather, a little humorous acrostic poem, given the "chaos" that we have to live.
Therisa, I had not realized that! I am glad then that I chose a butterfly photo. Smiles.

ReplyDeleteYes, the butterfly is very beautiful, Mary. Thank you for looking after the Pantry in the midst of your busy life. Well, as some of you know, I am at the moment preoccupied with heavy flooding where I live – not affecting me very much, I'm glad to say, except that I'll try to stay off the roads for a few more days yet, but devastating to many others. The poem I chose to share is one I wrote in Spring, so will seem just right for you Northern Hemisphere folks, but seems a dreamlike memory now to me! But I am counting my blessings.
