Happy New Year everyone! I love the feeling of a fresh start. It has that blank page feel and the pristine beginnings of a new book. The photo I chose may appear odd at first, but I think you will see why. Goals and change all have to start within. It is an inside job at first, then it ripples out. Did you make any resolutions or goals for the New Year?
"One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach; one can collect only a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few."~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh
I see many things in this photo. What do you see? Pen a poem that reflects your feelings, your view.
Our Monthly "Reflection" photo prompt is provided to us by Ella Wilson. We would like to thank Ella for her inspiring photos and for helping us out here at Poets United. If you would like to know more about Ella, see her other photos or read her poetry please visit the blog below:

ReplyDeleteHello and Happy New Year everyone!
ReplyDeleteI wrote a poem and I hope you will enjoy it.
Some slightly abstract new year's resolutions - either much easier or much harder to escape from, I'm not sure which.

ReplyDeleteLovely prompt Ella....hope everyone has a wonderful and Happy New Year! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis was fun - except for being able to nail down exactly what type of shell this is but there are a gazillion varieties of periwinkles so it won!
ReplyDeleteYes, it won...lol
