Poetry Pantry # 334

Greetings, Poets! On this first day of a brand new year, we wish you a wonderful year of sharing the joy of poetry. We hope you enjoyed a festive holiday season with your loved ones, and are renewed in body and spirit. It is lovely to be back, and sharpening our quills.

We're looking forward to reading what the Pantry has for us today. And do come back tomorrow for our Life of a Poet series: an interview with Heather Sawaya. We think you will find it very interesting. On Wednesday, Susan has a timely topic for Midweek Motif: Vision, a perfect subject for the beginning of a new year. And Rosemary has an incredible share on Friday for I Wish I'd Written This. I peeked, and it is very special. Don't miss it!

Now, you know what to do. Link your poem, and say hi in the comments. Do make visits to your fellow poets, in the spirit of reciprocity. And, most of all, Enjoy Poetry!

  10. Happy New Year, Friends! It's a brand new year, and I am traveling today to my beloved Tofino and the wild winter waves. I will make the rounds to everyone, but may be late getting around to some. Looking forward to a brand new year of poetry.

  11. I'm not putting my link in the linky until I come back ready for the feast of you! I have Meeting for Worship, a Care and Council committee meeting and two pot-luck open houses before then--also feasts--and I may not make it through all of that before I return. Usually New Year's Day is a restful one for me, filled with the Philadelphia Mummers Parade either live or on TV. Today, I have the energy to try and show up! I'm more than happy for that, as it promises to make 2017 a better year.

    Love to Poets United!
    See you later.

  20. Happy New Year everyone, my poem says it best. I can't wait to read what everyone has for today! I also wrote a new post for Bike With Bekkie if anyone is interested.

Last year was good for me in every way but economically and you know what that means, it messes up your life when you can't get a job that pays enough money to survive. I have never had such a dichotomy in my life and it scares me. Things could still turn around I have hopes.

My biking keeps me from being depressed so I'm in a really strange place right now. Lol! I didn't say a bad place, probably a good writing place.

I've had enough turkey for this year, who's with me?

I love you guys! I've never felt so close to people as with this group although some of you have been with my other writing groups and it's been a long relationship of poetry. It's a wonderful feeling to have such friends of all of you!

    Hugs! Bekkie

    1. Wonderful news...may it sustain you for a while...Keep plotting of ways to return as much as possible.
A Happy New Year to everyone. This place is a little patch of peace and respite from the murky turmoiled world. I cherish it and am pleased to return.
