The Poetry Pantry Is Now Open! - # 29

If you have not done so already be sure to check out our Poetry Prompt Directory. It’s a new tool we have added here which consists of all the daily Poetry and some Writing prompts found throughout the poetry blogosphere. We currently have listed over 30 active prompt sites. If you know of a prompt site we have missed or think should be on our list please let us know so that we may add it.  We do our best to make sure you have places to visit and poems to write.

Note: The pages and prompts listed in the directory are only for prompt sites which inspire poems and short stories. At this time we are not listing any other type meme or prompt (i.e. questionnaire style).

The Poetry Pantry
2nd Chance Poems or 1st time shares

Anything goes!! All Poems, all Poets, All Week!!

Do you have a poem you would like to share? Something that you just felt inspired to write and want others to read. Perhaps it’s a poem that didn’t get as much exposure on your blog as you would have liked. Maybe it’s a poem that you wrote a long time ago that you would like people to revisit. That’s what this section of Poets United is for.

Each Sunday we start a new post with a New Mr. Linky for you. This is so that you can post a link to anything you want us to read, anything at all related to poetry or prose found on your own poetry blogs. It will remain open all week so that you can show us your writings and thoughts. You can post links weekly should you chose to do so. What poetry you put here is up to you so don't be afraid to share with us!!

There 3 simple rules:

1. Don’t link to more than 3 poems per week.

2. Please visit some of the other poems linked here when you link to yours.

3. Leave a comment after you have posted your link.

  1. holy, i feel like teacher's pet for being on this so fast. thanks, loves, and have a wonderful Sunday! let's get reading!

  2. What can I say, I like "what could have been" poems.

  3. What can I say, I like posting three poems in a row.

  4. DES is pounding 'em out. Hey let's jam the pantry!

  5. This is definitely not a Valentine's poem...

  6. Just two that I have finished recently.

  7. I may dust off a poem or two, but I just wanted to say that the idea of a poetry pantry
    is startling to me
    of course
a larder of thought and feelings
I may have to construct one
somehow shelving seems so inadequate now
    great idea

  8. folks, my second link there doesn't work. i don't know how to take it off or i would! ack. sorry.

  9. Marian, I fixed it for you. I deleted the bad link and reposted it. It should be there now.

  10. aw! like magic, all fixed! you people are professionals. okay, go read the second one, and thank you, poetry pantry elves.

  11. I wrote a Valentine's day poem
for my husband. Not my usual
fanfare, but it is after all,
    the day of love:)

  12. Glad to see so many entries now.
    Happy Sunday!

  13. You cant help but share the bad choices in life with total strangers.

  14. As you can see, I'm looking forward to Summer. Have a great Sunday everyone!

  15. My Epiphany Tanka is about the creative writing process and the elusive muse. Thanks!

  16. This was a prompt I gave to my online writing group. Just a line..she didn't have to succumb.

  17. Poets United,

My first poem is a St Valentine's Day thought.
The second is my Dancing with Shadows poem.

    Best wishes,

  18. Linked a post from a sunday ago - Bathe every open wound - a more recent poem that I'll probably change a lot over the next year.

  19. Is two permissible? the second is from a magpie prompt - one I like very much.

  20. A new one. Not one of my best I don't think, but I am trying, lol. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday!

  21. Another one from my book, Pocketful of Words. Yes, it's a shameless plug again. :-)

  22. My Experimenting With Poetry Forms

  23. I just wrote a poem for valentine. And it's a first for me.

  24. My poem is called " Far Far Away". It is written in the style of Charles Bukowski and is a first for me.
