Sneak Peak - The Poetry Pantry: Thoughts That Breathe


The release of our much anticipated first ever Poets United Anthology is so very close. I have ordered one copy and it is en route to my house via the wonderful mail system. I expect to have it in hand by next Wednesday or thereabouts. Once I have proofed the actual physical copy and ensured no further revisions are needed I will publicize the information on lulu, Facebook and here and provide you with a link so that you may rush out to purchase a copy of your very own. The current price is listed at $7.50 (the download version will be free to everyone). Shipping will vary depending on location and what type you choose.

The book is a standard 6 X 9 paperback that is 105 pages long. It is filled with many wonderful poems and photos contributed by roughly 50 of our most active and talented members here at Poets United. If you were not a member of Poets United at the time we began our project or missed the cut off date for the anthology, do not worry, the opportunity will come again. We plan to produce an Anthology one to two times annually and expect to do one in August later this.

Currently as it stands Lulu set a minimum of $7.20 as a purchase price.  I chose to round it to an even $7.50.  For each book sold Poets United will actually receive 71 cents.  It is our intent to use that for the benefit of Poets United.  Our current thought is that the money will be used to purchase extra copies of Thoughts That Breathe to give away in future contests or to be donated to local libraries and book drives.  For every 10 books sold we will be able to buy an extra book.  One way or another, this will be put use for the betterment of Poets United.

    This just wonderful to be able to get an idea, of how the book will look.
    I think it is so good to see it 'all come together'.
    Thanks for having that great idea!

    Robb, you have done a fantastic job of putting this together, and I know how much work it was. You are superb at keeping things Happening, and supporting and encouraging all of our creative efforts. I thank you so much, for all you have brought to all of our lives. The anthology looks spectacular. How exciting! I can add it to my bookshelf, it will be the fourth anthology I'm in, how cool is that?

    I am so impressed with this book. It looks amazing. I can't wait to get a copy in hand and on my book shelf. This is so exciting and what a wonderful way to bring us all together in such a concrete way. Love it!
